Nationwide home values are rocketing, rising at the greatest rate since 2006, according to a new report by Zillow. Nationwide prices were up 6.5 percent in November from 2015 levels. However, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, home prices were 12 percent higher than a year earlier. That’s the third biggest increase in the country. The supply of houses for sale in North Texas is down almost 14 percent from November 2015, adding to the pressure on prices. North Texas preowned sales were up 26 percent in November from a year earlier.
