Frisco is the fastest growing city in the nationÂ according to a study from WalletHub.Â The study examined 515 American cities using 14 metrics, including population growth and unemployment decrease rate, to rank the cities against each other.
Another Dallas-Fort Worth city, McKinney, also cracked the top 10 at No. 8.Â To see where other big DFW cities ranked, see the attached slideshow.
Here are the study's top five fastest growing U.S. cities:

* 2. League City, Texas
* 3. Lehigh Acres, Florida
* 4. Kent, Washington
* 5. Surprise, Arizona
Frisco has been making headlines across the country for its growth in not only population, but the number of jobs coming into the area. According to WalletHub, Frisco has the highest rate of job growth in the country at 5.32 percent.Â Last month, theÂ Dallas Business JournalÂ hosted an event to highlight Frisco's advancementÂ in the area of sports business. The event was held at The Star, the new world headquarters of theÂ Dallas CowboysÂ and team ownerÂ Jerry Jones keynoted the event, saying that the Cowboys partnership with Frisco, "fired him up."Â Â Â Others spoke positively about the way Frisco's government runs its operations in a business-friendly mindset.Â Craig Hall, founder of the HALL Group, also spoke.Â âIf you want to be in business and you want to be at a place thatâs responsible and cares about families and cares about growth, thatâs Frisco,â Hall said.Â Frisco also ranked as the No. 1 real estate marketÂ in the country, WalletHub said back in August. In North Texas, arguably the hottest real estate market for any metropolitan area in the country,Â Frisco has the two largest construction projects being built right now.
